SIPAAA Goals
  • Priority/Goal 1 Increase in Academic
    Achievement
  • Raise overall composite ISAT score from 64 to
    74 overall.
  • Raise the 3rd grade reading scores by 30 points
    over 4 years.
  • Increase number of 8th grade students accepted
    into selective enrollment high schools by
    100 over the next two years.
  • Implement assessment tools on an 8 week cycle
    in all grade levels for math and reading.

  • Priority/Goal 2 Professional Capacity
  • Seamlessly implement the Montessori. Each year
    training, evaluating, and retaining a highly
    qualified staff.
  • Refine and expand our teacher mentoring program
    for new teachers to Oscar Mayer.
  • Obtain an MYP-IB National Certification by the
    end of the 2010 school year.
  • Retain consultants for technology to assist with
    training teachers to implement the use of the
    one-to-one laptops and SMART boards in grades
    6-8th daily. (Moving beyond data processing and
    research)

  • Secure partnership with arts partner Zephyr Dance
    for arts integration efforts.
  • Create, distribute and analyze staff, parent and
    student survey for café nights
  • Four professional development sessions will be
    led by the fine arts team and the arts partner
    over the next two years.
  • Develop two arts integrated units for each of the
    Fine Arts Teachers.
  • Improve the visual representation of our arts
    program throughout the building by displaying our
    work.

Entry and Dismissal
  • With an increase in total students and
    specifically almost 200 3, 4, and 5 year olds we
    have a new system for drop off and pick up.
    Please ask your teacher for specifics.

Attendance
  • Unexcused absences and chronic tardies do have an
    impact on student promotion. Please send a note
    with your child when he or she is sick. Make
    sure that your children get to school on time.
  • School hours are 850 245pm

Transportation
  • Families that live 1.5 6 miles away are
    eligible for travel options. If you have not
    filled out your application, ask your teacher for
    a copy and turn in tonight.

Nut Free Zone
  • Our early childhood program is a nut free zone.
    This is extremely important when considering what
    you send with your child for lunch as well as for
    their class snack.
  • Please get further details will come
    from your classroom teacher.
