• Make sure the ventilation fan is on.
• When possible allow for an open air source
  opposite the ventilation fan to insure fresh air
  inlet.

Personal Wear

• Safety Glasses and Goggles
• These are to be worn at all times if you are in
  the shop while anyone is using equipment.
• This includes oxy-acetylene welding.
• They should be shaded with a tint between 3 and 6.

• Must be leather.
• We are going to have molten metal flying around.
• There may also be sharp edges on the metal.

• It Must be 100 heavy cotton.
• If it has a pocket it needs to be flapped and
  buttoned while welding.

• They should be 100 heavy cotton with no cuffs or
  pleats.

• You must wear leather closed toe shoes at all
  times in the shop.
• This includes while welding.

• It is used as an extra layer of protection from
  hot flying debris.

• To prevent burning.

• Only use equipment you have been approved to use.
• Never use malfunctioning equipment.
• Report malfunctioning or broken equipment to the
  instructor immediately.

• Insure regulators are properly installed and
  checked.
• Check hoses to make sure they are in good shape.
