Summary

• There are only 200 SMGs in ALMA-accessible
  fields
• We should have S2CLS sources by ALMA early
  science
• However, were unlikely to have follow-up (zs,
  etc)
• Mix of detailed investigation of well-studied
  SMGs, detection of fainter pops and
  identification work on S2CLS sources?
• Science goals
• Dynamics masses, mergers - triggering of
  activity, connection to z2 reddead galaxies?
• SF extent mode of SF?
• CO ladders gas masses, gas fractions -
  evolution and variation with AGN activity
  (feedback) e.g. gas in QSOs?
• Dense gas tracers relation to SFRs?
