  • Go to your computer desktop and double click on
    my computer.

  • Select the D drive right click on the D
    drive and then select Sharing.

  • Select the sharing properties you want for this
    drive 
  • You might want to give limited access also
    known as read-only. No one can change your files
    but they can load them to their own desktop and
    save them as another name great for setting up
    student assignments!

  • Now, others can map your drive onto their
    computer so that it shows up when they turn their
    computer on. However, this will depend upon
    whether you are both logged onto the Monet
    network! Remember, always log on when starting
    up your computer!

  • The reno-teacher folder on the D drive is
    shared on this computer. Right click on the
    reno-teacher folder and select Map Network
    Drive Go to Network Neighborhood on your
    desktop. Double click on it and then select the
    computer you want to show up on your desktop in
    this instance, Renolab teacher.

  • Your computer will assign this drive a letter.
    The letter it assigns is dependent upon the other
    drives on your computer. Select the reconnect
    at logon.

  • Now, when you open My Computer you will notice
    your new shared drive that is, if that computer
    is logged on at the time!
