Title: Leonardo Da Vinci

1
Leonardo Da Vinci

  • It was the period of the renaissance when
Leonardo da Vinci was born on April 15 1452.
Leonardo was born probably in this farmhouse in
Anchiano, which is a mile or so away from Vinci.
The family of Leonardo lived in this area since
    the 13th century.

Leonardo Da Vinci
  • Had a keen eye and quick mind that led him to
make important scientific discoveries, yet he
    never published his ideas.
  • Was a gentle vegetarian who loved animals and
despised war, yet he worked as a military
engineer to invent advanced and deadly weapons.
  • Was one of the greatest painters of the Italian
Renaissance, yet he left only a handful of
    completed paintings.

Da Vinci
  • In addition to being the personification of
the Renaissance Man, Leonardo is reported to
have been a strikingly handsome man with great
strength and a fine singing voice. And unlike his
fellow 15th-century Italians, he was a vegetarian
and followed strict dietary rules. In fact, he
loved animals so much that he would often buy
caged animals at the market just to set them
    free.

  • Leonardo Da Vinci was a man of many talents. He
made plans of airplanes, tanks, and submarines
that werent even made yet. People today have
made some of the things he designed. Here is his
design for an airplane, and the next slide shows
the model built in modern times.

The Last Supper
  • Another one Leonard Da Vincis most famous works
is The Last Supper. It was painted on the end
wall of the refectory in the church of Santa
    Maria del Grazie, Milan, Italy.

11
  • Leonardo died on 2 May 1519 in Amboise, France.
At this time Leonardo da Vinci was 67 year old.
His state of health was not the best, because
Leonardo had paralysis on the right side of his
    body since 1517.

The End
"Leonardo da Vinci was like a man who awoke too
early in the darkness, while the others were all
still asleep" Sigmund Freud
