• Our school has exceeded Recognition Point 2
  indicating our progress towards proficiency
• CTBS scores for 2002 were at or above the
  district and state in language, mathematics and
  total battery
• 47 7th grade students were eligible to
  participate in the Duke University Talent
  Identification Program. Three students received
  state recognition. David Laws, a J. T. Alton
  student, was the only HCS student to be
  recognized at the national level
