• New technologies create new creative
  opportunities, and new means of creative
  representation
• Practitioners dont have all the answers
• Learners may feel they have all the understanding
  they need

Building a VCR

• The ability to use a technology doesnt confer
  mystical abilities
• Nor is it a transferable skill
• New modes of learning, and new forms of practice,
  may be applicable to a changing world
• But they are not necessarily chosen

Bridging the Gap

• Conceptions of learning are distant from the
  learners experience of learning
• It is naïve to imagine new tools and techniques
  will simply be magically adopted
• Practitioners can make an explicit case for change
