2Watershed Watch History
In 1997 Cumberland Chapter of the Sierra Club,
Kentucky Waterways Alliance and Kentucky Division
of Water Watch program formed the Kentucky River
Watershed Watch. Following the watershed approach
adopted by the DOW Framework process we grew the
program to a statewide network by 2000.
Watershed Watch Mission Statement Watershed
Watch in Kentucky is a statewide citizens
monitoring effort to improve and protect water
quality by raising community awareness, and
supporting implementation of the goals of the
Clean Water Act.
