4What is AMSA?
- AMSA is a national organization comprised of
pre-medical students, medical students, and
physicians - Over 68,000 members
- Penn's pre-med chapter serves undergraduates in
many ways - Dedicated to helping pre-medical students get
involved in community service, research, and
other extracurricular activities - Providing information for pre-medical students on
course selection and applying to medical school

6Volunteer Events
-University City Hospitality Coalition -UCHC is
a federally recognized non-profit organization
which serves to provide meals, medical, dental,
and legal clinics to the poor and homeless in
West Philadelphia. --Puentes De Salud
7UCHC Clinic
- Dates (Tentative) October November Wednesdays
- Time 530-8pm
- Location St. Agatha-St. James 38th Chestnut
St. - Activity Distribute vitamins, take patient blood
pressure/glucose, observe and assist the doctors
and medical students at the clinic - Interested students please sign up. You will
be notified when dates, times, and shifts are
confirmed.
8Medical Student Mentoring
- -Undergraduate members with be paired with a
medical student - -The mentor can give advice about both the
medical school admissions process and medical
school in general - -Students will get out of the relationship the
effort they put in it
9Medical Student/ Admissions Director Panels
- Panel of medical students and Admissions
Directors to present their experiences and
knowledge - Members can come and pose question about
applications, interviews, and medical school in
general
