Familiarize yourself with the camera.

Tripod. The tripod screw attaches to the bottom
of the camera. the tripod arm is used for
panning and tilting to compose the frame.

Lock standby - record. The switch
selects between standby, to rest the camera, and
lock, to inactivate the record button. the
record button is the large red button. this
starts and stops recording.

VTR off camera The switch selects between
VTR mode, for video playback, camera mode, for
recording, as well as to power down the camera
by switching to off.

Focus. This switch selects between auto, camera
maintains focus, and manual, focus is
maintained with the scroll wheel to the left.
FOCUS
Tape tray zoom eject. The tape tray for
tape insertion is opened upon pushing down and
sliding the eject button to the right. to close
push tray shut. push the zoom to the right to
tighten the frame and to the left to widen the
frame.

PROGRAM AE
SCROLL SELECTOR
Sport mode. Click the program AE button and use
the scroll selector to scroll till the icon
of the golfer is selected.

LCD screen. Push the highlighted button and pull
to the left to open the lcd viewscreen.

BATTERY LEVEL
Battery level. This indicates the amount of
batter life needed. when it begins to blink it
means that the battery is almost dead. there
is another battery indicator on the lcd screen
display.

VCR mode. The fuction buttons become
highlighted and the blue screen is visible in vcr
playback mode.

Meet your new friend the Dazzle!

First, locate the yellow video connection on the
camera and connect the RCA cable. Turn the
camera onto VTR.

Locate the video input on the Dazzle and connect
the RCA cable to it.

Press the MODE button on the BACK of the Dazzle
until the A to D indicator lights green.

To capture, open iMovie. To capture, make sure
that you are in the Import Mode, press play on
the camera and Import in iMovie when you want to
begin and end capturing. Captured clips are
placed in the right bin.

Time line
Editing the video in iMovie. Move the video on
the time line and select the movie in the start
point. Hold shift key plus right mouse button and
move the mouse to the ending point. From the
menu, select edit and then crop. Export the movie
to QuickTime.

Open videopoint. Click on the about video
point and open a movie. Browse for your
QuickTime movie and open it.

Object. Select number of object to analyze. For
this particular projectile experiment the number
is 1.
Selecting points. Select on every frame the
point that you have to analyze.

Scale. Select the ruler and then the units (m)
for this example the scale is 1 m (marked with
red).
The origin. With the mouse you can move the
origin. With the data ready you can export to
excel or use videopoint for analysis.

Analysis with videopoint. Select the plot
symbol. For this particular case time can be on
the horizontal line, and vertical could be x or y
(this experiment is in a plane).

you click on the F, you can try to find a
function who fit the points.
