Entry Task 1 / 22 Erika is planning a
hiking trip up Half Dome in Yosemite National
Park. She takes a total of 15 pints of water
along on the trip and she plans to drink ¾ of a
pint for every mile. (FYI The hike is 17 miles
round trip) a) Make a table for the data. Fill
in the information for dependent and independent
variables and show all you calculations.
b) Graph the data on the Rectangular Coordinate
Plane. c) What are the intercepts of this graph
and what do they represent? d) What do you notice
about the y-intercept and the expression that you
have for x in your table?
