10-pt. font or weird font, or in pencil, or in
nonstandard colors will not be graded/must be
re-done!! - 3 Error deductions every error in spelling,
grammar, capitalization and punctuation counts
off 1 point

- Internet sources need author(if given), page
title website title site sponsor date you got

Company year published - Put them in correct order punctuate them
correctly!
10How to cite sources in your paper
- Use source citations, which are also called
parenthetical citations, because - When you do them right, the info is enclosed
- Inside parentheses.
- Use these whenever you quote give statistics
mention info you got from your sources - See next slide for an example
11- Notice how credit was given to research resources
on the previous slide - The FIRST time a source is mentioned, you should
give the author and source of the info, and
mention the page number(if the info was in a
format that used pages, such as a book or
magazine) - The SECOND time you bring up a statistic or quote
or fact from that source, you can end the
sentence with parentheses that enclose authors
last name (if an author was given) and page
number - When doing a source citation within your paper
for an internet source, you should use
parentheses, and enclose the web articles author
(if one was given) OR web page title, and the
word internet. - Look back at the previous slide notice all the
places where parentheses pop up notice the info
within them notice the punctuation used, and
where these are placed.

lacks a Works Cited pagedone in MLA style
