African Elephant
Elephants are highly adaptable and can survive
in the forest, bush or savannah. The adult male
is much larger than the adult female Elephants
eat almost anything green, but green grass,
shoots and buds of trees and shrubs are
preferred.

Reticulated Giraffe
Reticulated giraffe are confined to
north-eastern Kenya, eastern Sudan and Eritrea.
Both sexes have horns, although the females'
horns are smaller. An average of 16-20 hours
per day are spent feeding and up to 140 lbs of
fresh browse are taken.

Life span in the wild is 15-18 years, in
captivity 25-30 years. Lions are the only cats
that live in large family groups. They live in
prides.
Adult lions usually have a plain unspotted coat,
light brown to dark ochre in color. Cubs are
marked with spots which sometimes persist on the
legs and belly until they are fully grown.

Chimpanzee
For sleeping at night, each chimp constructs a
nest of vegetation 9-12 meters high in a
tree. Chimps travel mostly on the ground where
they "knuckle-walk". Chimp communities are
made up of 15 to 120 animals.
