ISO 8000 NWI

• scope of existing Work Item is for "Catalogue
  management system Requirements"
• WG13 has submitted Last Day Resolution to clarify
  the title scope, assigning this to be the Part
  100 series of a broader scope for ISO 8000
• proposed title of Part 100 series is "Master
  data"
• preparation of NWI submission
• addressing the broader scope of ISO 8000
• series of standards for data quality, potentially
  including data quality activities, terminology,
  characteristics testing
• in line with Vico Equense Resolution 676
• proposing title as "Data quality"
• alternatives were "Information quality",
  "Industrial data quality"
• convener (Tim King) to issue form for WG13 review
• review deadline 2007-11-12
• WG13 requests SC4 Secretary to submit the NWI
• Peter Benson has volunteered to serve as project
  leader

ISO 8000-110

• CD/TS ballot comment resolution process is
  complete
• the UK has changed its "No" vote to "Yes"
• this possibility was stated when the UK voted
• SC4 Secretariat to announce to all "P" members
  the change of the ballot result to "Successful"
• ISO 8000 team in conjunction with those who
  submitted comments are currently conducting an
  internal review of the resulting document
• editor (Gerry Radack) to issue a final version by
  2007-11-02
• review deadline 2007-11-16
• submit all comments to the editor
• editor will decide appropriate resolution of each
  comment
• project leader (Peter Benson) convener (Tim
  King) will review comments resolutions
• if the convener judges that the process has
  achieved consensus and the changes to document
  are only for clarification do not change the
  technical substance then the convener will
  instruct SC4 Secretariat to process the document
  for publication
• otherwise SC4 will conduct a four-week
  confirmatory ballot
