Status

• All detectors on production and on time (see
  separate presentations)
• No technical problems on detectors
• Magnet has been tested
• some insulating work has to be done but
  basically on track
• Is being moved to final position
• Structures (FASS, ) all in progress in the
  cavern (see session on Alice structures)

Status II

• Trigger electronics ok
• Tracking electronics still some delays
• Manas chip Indian company at Shandigarh and
  packaging in Singapore. Samples to be tested
  arrived last week. A special group of 2 people
  has been appointed to follow up and help (and
  travel)
• Manu (card supporting Manas) a lot of
  administrative delays in France

• Tracking has been reorganized to fit with
  production phase H. Borel sub-project leader

GMS

• Optical lines
• Links between stations BCAM
• Links between chambers PROX
• Links between chamber 9 and walls BCAM
• Control of plans BCAM
• Optical devices on platforms

GMS status

• Integration of lines through ST 3-4-5 passage of
  coil supports done
• Integration of lines through ST 1-2-3 setup
  between FA and ST 1 done
• Integration of lines toward walls April 2005
• Testbench 1 for method of platform alignment
  done
• Testbench 2 for temperature effect study ready
  in September 2005
• First drawings ready in March 2005
• Realisation of the mechanics starting in April
  2005
• Installation starting in October 2005 (6 months)
• BUT still not totally financed (France has not
  yet given a pledge on all CtC)

Conclusion

• Detectors on schedule
• Tracking electronics is late
• Assembling and storage space is becoming an
  urgent problem
