Sophomores
  • Dues are now being collected every Wednesday
    after school in Rm. 128. They are currently
    10.00 but will go up to 15.00 after Christmas
    break. Save 5.00 and pay early. Remember dues
    help keep the cost of YOUR proms and activities
    down. You may also give the dues to any of your
    class officers at any time. (CH)

Dress Down Day
  • The Board of Education has authorized Friday,
    December 18th as a Dress Down Day to raise
    funds for Bristol Cares/Winter 09 Fund. This
    fund was established as a basic needs response
    fund to provide mini-grants to community
    organizations (e.g., food pantries, social
    service agencies, shelters, etc.) to respond to
    increasing demand that is predicted due to our
    current economic situation. Checks should be
    made out to The Main Street Foundation. Please
    give your money to Maggie Daniels in the Main
    Office. (MD)

  • We come to you from the canned food drive 8,000
    cans is what we strive.
  • There will be a box in every room so fill them
    up cuz we will be collecting them soon.
  • Remember this is all for charity. Thats why
    were writing this parody.
  • Donate as much as you can because getting 8,000
    cans is what we plan.
  • Bringing in a lot would be wise because the
    winner gets a surprise. (ARP)

    December 17th in the senior café right after
    school. The Special Ed. and Music Dept. will be

  • The FBLA Club is collecting new unwrapped toys
    through Thursday, December 17th. All toys will
    be donated to local families in Bristol.
    Collection boxes are located in Rm. 103, the Main
    Office and participating teachers classrooms.

  • The holiday season is here! The school store is
    having a BC school spirit sale on many clothing
    items. The sale runs through Wednesday, December
    23rd. Visit Grand Central Station for all of
    your Bristol Central spirit wear. BC apparel
    items make great gifts. The store is open
    periods A (3-4), B (3-4) and A (7-8). See Mrs.
    Jacques in Rm. 103 if you have any questions or
    would like to make a purchase during a different
    time during the day. (SJ)

  • The Academic Bowl Public Speaking contest will
    take place on Saturday, March 20, 2010. The
    topic this year is Given the current global
    situation, should the government of the United
    States intervene in the internal affairs of
    foreign nations?. If you are interested in
    representing Bristol Central in this contest, see
    Mr. Plourde for more information. (GP)

  • LISTEN UP!  Actors, singers, dancers...it's
    time!  Do you like to perform?  Do you love side
    ponytails and high top sneakers?  Skinny jeans? 
    Lacy gloves and leg warmers??? if so, YOU need to
    audition for FOOTLOOSE--the musical based on one
    the greatest movies of the 80s!  If you are
    interested, come to the workshop after school on
    Friday in the auditorium.  You will learn all the
    materials for auditions which will take place on
    Monday, January 4th.  You must attend the
    workshop in order to audition. REMEMBER Friday,
    230-530, auditorium! (LCD)
