Goals for Arizona CVISN Project

• Improve customer service by reducing redundancy
  and paperwork for both motor carriers and state
  CVO agencies
• Collect safety inspection and Accident data
  electronically from the roadside and upload to
  SAFETYNET
• Provide electronic application and credentials
  issuance capabilities to motor carriers and
  service bureaus in the following areas
• International Registration Program (IRP)
• International Fuel Tax Agreement (IFTA)
• Intrastate vehicle registration
• Oversize/overweight permitting

• Develop an interface between state systems and
  the IRP Clearinghouse
• Develop an interface between state systems and
  the IFTA Clearinghouse
• Provide electronic clearance at a limited number
  of fixed and mobile sites
• Use dedicated short range communications (DSRC)
  and Variable Message Signs (VMS) at roadside
  inspection facilities to electronically identify
  vehicles and motor carriers for verification of
  safety information
