Homework
  • Homework is given nightly as reinforcement of
    skills taught in class, please make sure your
    child is completing all homework assignments.
  • Students are responsible for writing all homework
    from the board into their agendas.
  • Students start off with 100 points for homework,
    and points are deducted every time homework is
    not completed.
  • Students receive 100 points in every subject area.

Discipline
  • Teachers use a clipboard which travels to each
    class as a way to document behavior. Students are
    given a warning about correcting their behavior
    before they are given a strike on the clipboard.
  • Students will have an opportunity to correct
    behavior, and if it persists parent will be
    contacted by phone or note.
  • Isolated lunch, walk during recess, and other
    measures when necessary

Papers
  • Signed papers are sent home on Tuesday/Wednesday
    of each week (beginning August 28,2007)
  • Please sign and return all papers with your child
    the next day.

  • Language Arts
  • 10Spelling
  • 20 Grammar
  • 70Reading(vocabulary/comprehension)
  • Math
  • Homework, daily work and test will be averaged.
  • Test in all subject areas will be doubled.

Conferences
  • Early Release
  • September 13th
  • February 7th
  • Student led conferences in May
  • Any other time teacher/parent request

Promotion Requirements
  • Students must pass three out of four classes in
    order to be promoted
  • Students must demonstrate competence in the areas
    of math, reading and language arts

Textbooks
  • Each student has been assigned 5 textbooks
  • Please cover all textbooks
  • Do not remove bar code labels from books
