• Membership no changes
• Meetings GRPE, EU Environment and AAC
• Key actions
• Meeting held in December and another planned for
  February
• 4 meetings are planned for 2005 and deputies have
  been agreed to ensure continuity and commitment
• Position on metals and legislation of performance
  additives circulated for endorsement
• Review of CEC methods is an important aspect of
  2005 programme
• FAG team will give Plenary Lecture on Fuel
  Additives at RSC Conference in Dublin

FAG Objectives and Actions

• FAG Objectives and Actions remain similar to 2004
• These are primarily
• Monitor and assess regulatory and technical
  developments
• Where appropriate develop active positions
• If agreed, take action to promote these positions
  and influence industry stake holders
• Specific developments 2005
• Work with JRC Ispra on protocols to evaluate fuel
  and additive effects on exhaust after treatment
  devices
• The perceived need to become more active in test
  method development within ATC and in our
  interactions with AAC
• The RSC conference and the opportunity to present
  an updated view on fuel additives in the 21st
  Century
• Emerging issues such as particulates and bio
  fuels
