    to 21st century information via local libraries
    statewide. NOVEL is currently supported with
    temporary federal Library Services and Technology
    Act funds. New Century Libraries is an important
    statewide funding initiative currently before the
    Legislature that proposes permanent state funding
    for NOVEL."
