Supervisor Responsibilities I

• Know PLU Safety Programs that affect your
  employees, e.g. bloodborne pathogens, hazard
  communication
• Identify work or behaviors that increase employee
  risk
• Arrange for Employee safety training

• Report Safety Hazards
• Investigate and Report Injuries
• Implement engineering, management, or protective
  equipment controls to limit employee risk

Supervisor Responsibilities III

• High Risk departments conduct regular Safety
  Meetings
• Recognize/Reward employees with safe work habits

Safety Committee

• Meetings are every second Thursday at 815 am in
  the UC
• Encourage employees to contact their committee
  representative with concerns
• Minutes are posted on Safety Bulletin Boards
• Administration, Dining Services, Plant Services
