JUST FILLING UP .
  • In terms of the Regulations (Medical Schemes Act
    131 of 1998) brokers were able to earn a maximum
    of three percent of the monthly contributions of
    a scheme member, up to R55.18 plus VAT a month
    (March 2005)
  • From 1 August 2007, brokers may be paid three
    percent of contributions, up to a maximum of
    R60.70 plus VAT a month.

FUTURE DESTINATION
  • To interact, respond and get actively involved on
    medical scheme related issues on behalf of the
    IBC member
  • To again follow up on our request for an
    appointment with the Minister of Health or at
    least a senior spokes person within the
    Department of Health
  • An appointment with the Council, after seeing the
    Minister/her Department
  • To establish a liaison with the Council of
    Medical Schemes to ensure their positive attitude
    regarding the service the health care broker
    supplies to members
