8MITACS Resources for Students
- Mobility Fund
- Internship Program
- Student Awards Program
9The Mobility Fund
- Supports the exchange of graduate students and
postdoctoral fellows between projects in
different regions of the country.
- Contributes to the multi-disciplinary nature of
network training.
10The Mobility Fund
- 500 for a paper presentation for out-of-town
travel. - 1000 for participation in a MITACS event.
- 5000 to spend up to four months visiting a
MITACS node outside of the home university.
11Internship Program
- This program funds interns to work on-site with
an organization to apply mathematical techniques
to research issues. - Participating organizations include companies,
hospitals, government labs and agencies and
not-for-profit societies.
12Internship Program
- Internship projects are 4 months in duration with
opportunities for a second Internship. - An Internship involves a research project related

fellows. - Each award consists of a certificate and a
monetary prize of 1,000.
14Student Awards Program
- Awards
- Best student paper for MITACS-related research (3
awards, one each for MSc, PhD and PDF). - Best novel use of mathematics in technology
transfer (up to 3 awards). - Outstanding service to the Student Network (1
award).
15Student Advisory Committee
