15Is there a text book?
- No, but there is much reading to do to keep up
- There are references remember, there is a
library here as well as the web - You will be able to purchase a subsidised book to
supplement the Concrete Technology lecture slides

17Do I have to attend?
- Tutorials will be dealt with in class
- these are non-assessable items, but you will need
to be able to do them - Attendance at practicals is essential!

- Extensions to the timelines for the completion
of assessment may be made on medical1,
compassionate2 or religious observance3 grounds.

- read notes before class
- what dont you understand in the lecture slides?
- Try tutorial questions/past exams
- Ask thoughtful questions
- Email if you need to or use on-line discussion
- Find out the core elements of each lecture
- no one expects you to remember everything!
