STEP UP INITIATIVE
  • STEP UP Scholarship, Training and Education
    Program for Tobacco Use Prevention
  • Funded by the American Legacy Foundation and
    administered by the Association of Schools of
    Public Health (ASPH)
  • Targeted 34 eligible, accredited Schools of
    Public Health in the U.S.
  • Goals of STEP UP
  • Increase the number of graduate students and
    faculty in public health who specialize in
    tobacco studies and research
  • Better integrate tobacco-related issues into
    graduate public health education
  • Build a stronger infrastructure of
    tobacco-related education in schools of public
    health.
