  • The Project Tomorrow Net Day Speak Up Poll is
    currently open for students, staff, and parents
    to complete.

  • The survey closes December 18th. This is
  • an excellent opportunity to give input on a

DMS Holiday Tree
  • All students and staff are encouraged to donate
    an ornament for the tree in the front foyer of
    the school.
  • You may turn in ornaments by next Tuesday to the
    front office to be hung on the tree!

  • Scholastic Book Fair is being held at DMS
    December 7 11,  
  • Monday Thursday 930 a.m. 7 p.m.

  • Tuesday, Wednesday Friday 930 a.m. 4 p.m.

  • We are in the 3rd week of the 3rd 6 weeks.
  • Do your best this 6 weeks!
  • Attend tutorials for regular school work and for
    TAKS help!
  • Clear your holds so that you receive your report
    card.

Winter Wonderland Dance
  • The new date for the dance is Friday January
    15th!
  • Tickets previously sold will be honored on that
    day!
  • You have ADDITIONAL time to clear holds to be
    eligible to purchase a ticket!

  • Tabula Digita meets every Tuesday in Ms. Baskins
    class
  • ALL students are encouraged to play!
  • IMPORTANT IF YOU PLAY TABULA DIGITA AT HOME,
    YOU CANNOT CHANGE ANY PROFILE INFORMATION
    OTHERWISE IT WILL BUMP YOUR PREVIOUS DATA FROM
    THE SYSTEM.

Eagle Challenge is BACK!
  • Students may access My Satori at school or at
    home beginning Friday December 4th.
  • There will be 4 lessons per TAKS tested objective
    per subject. (All EAGLE CHALLENGE LESSONS ARE
    HAVE EAGLE CHALLENGE IN THE TITLE)
  • For every 4 lessons students master, they will
    receive a daily grade of 100 for that class.
  • When a student masters ALL lessons for all
    objectives, they receive a TEST GRADE of 100
    averaged into their class grade!
  • Students who master all objectives all subjects
    will get to have a FUN DAY off-campus at the end
    of the year!

Science Olympiad
  • There will be an IMPORTANT Science Olympiad
    Meeting Wednesday December 16th.
  •  
  • We will be assigning all members to their
    competitions!!!
  • If you are unable to come to the meeting stop by
    Ms. Bob's room before Wednesday to sign up.

E.A.G.L.E.S. Tutorials
  • EAGLES Science Tutorials for 8th Grade will occur
    this Saturday December 12th 9AM 1PM.
  • It is CRUCIAL that students who receive
    notification to attend this tutorial make
    arrangements to attend on Saturday!
  • Parents will be contacted!

Art Car Applications
  • Art Car applications are due to Mrs. Newton this
    TODAY by the end of the school day. 
  • This is not a club that will be around every year
    because there may not be a car available next
    year.  So...if you are thinking about
    applying...do it!  It is SUPER cool!

Christian ClubChristmas Party Service Project
  • All students are invited to celebrate Christmas
    with the Christian Club on Monday, December 14,
    from 415-515 in room 2602.
  • Please bring items to create care packages for
    homeless men and women.
  • Toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • Small packs of hand sanitizer and tissues
  • Small snacks (crackers, cookies, etc)
  • Gloves and socks
  • Many items can be found at dollar stores.
  • You may drop off items in Mrs. Rhodes classroom
    anytime before the party.

Adopt a Marine
  • DMS is participating in the Adopt a Marine
    Program.
  • Students are asked to donate the following items
    Hygiene items, Snacks (beef jerky type of
    snacks), Reading materials (magazines, books)
    Games
  • Please bring these items to Ms. Callys classroom
    no later than December 18th.  Please see Ms.
    Cally for additional information.

  • Take a look at those two open hands of yours.
  • They are tools with which to serve, make
  • friends, and reach out for the best in life.
