Today we will learn some fun facts about U.S.
Presidents that you may or may not already
know. Plus, we will cover 5 of the least known
Presidents of the United States
At the end of the lesson, we will have a game of
trivia to review.

Did you know? President Grover Cleveland was the
only President to serve two non-consecutive
terms? Thats right. He was President from
1885-1889, then again from 1893-1897 making him
the 22nd and 24th President. FYI- He was also the
only President to have been married IN the White
House.
Three Presidents died on July 4th.. Thomas
Jefferson John Adams James Monroe
William Howard Taft was the only man to ever have
been both Chief Justice and President. FYI- he
was also the largest President, weighing in at
352 pounds!!

1885 He was Vice-President to James Garfield and

enlisted in the Mexican War and became a
brigadier general He was elected to the U.S.
House of Representatives in 1833 He was elected a
U.S. Senator in 1837 He was a Democrat

FACTS
He was the 13th President from 1850-1853 He was
Vice-President to Zachary Taylor and he became
President after Taylor became ill and died in
office. He was nominated for President again in
1856 but was defeated by James Buchanan
