How can I add a movie to my Presentation
  • From the Insert Menu, choose
  • Movies Sound
  • If the Movie or sound file is one that you
    created or downloaded from http//www.unitedstream
    ing.com or another website, then choose Movie
    from File (or Sound)
  • If you want to use a Movie or Sound file that
    exists in the Program, choose from Gallery

When adding a movie
  • Remember, everything in Power Point that you add
    is considered an object.
  • Some objects may be a simple animation, i.e.
    dragon breathing fire. In order to see the
    animation, you will have to press F5 to play the
    side show.

Inserting Video Clips
  • Sometimes, when you are importing a video clip,
    PowerPoint will ask you if you want it to play
    automatically.
  • It is recommended that when prompted with this
    question, you opt to not have that happen, this
    is so that you have more control over the
    situation
  • Also, once you insert the file, it made appear as
    a black box on the screen. To see what the
    audience will see, press F5 to test it.

Formatting
  • Setting a common theme (appearance)
  • Go to the Format Menu Choose Apply Design
    Template
  • Changing Bullets
  • Tired of the same bullets?
  • Choose Format Bullets and Numbering.
  • You can choose from one of the bullets there or
    click on the Picture button or the Character
    button to select a different character for your
    bullet.
  • Ever Try using Word Art? Click the Blue A on the
    bottom of the screen

Linking to the web or existing slides in your
Presentation
  • You can link to a website (assuming the computer
    you are using is connected to the Internet).
  • Type in the website address, select it and choose
    Insert HyperLink - Existing File or Web Page
  • If you want to link to another slide within the
    Presentation, Choose Place in this Document
  • See the next slide for a screen shot of what you
    will see on your screen
