Project Results
Project Goals
  • Flowchart four stages
  • To develop a system that can better detect if a
    shot clock violation has occurred

Project Overview
  • Design Overview
  • Sensor
  • Type capacitive touch technology
  • Small and lightweight
  • Analog to Digital Converter
  • Takes the signal input from sensor and converts
    it to a digital signal
  • Transmitter/ Receiver
  • Range Minimum 72 feet
  • Small and lightweight(Transmitter)
  • Shot clock program counter
  • Has ability to talk with receiver and
    synchronize with shot clock
  • Enables the end user (referees) to distinguish if
the shot clock has been violated

Project Conclusions/Outcomes
  • The project has four stages Over the semester
    two stages were tested
  • The Sensor Stage
  • Constructed, tested and debugged
  • Sensitivity or lack thereof was initially a
    problem
  • Problem was resolved by increasing the capacitive
    coupling value
  • Transmitter/Receiver Stage
  • After assembly receiver was able to pick up
    distortion from the transmitter
  • Problem will be resolved by sending the analog
    signal through an A/D converter
