4The scriptures relate the story of a young woman
who was chosen to be the mother of the Savior of
the world.
Luke1 26-33Â
And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent
from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was
Joseph, of the house of David and the virgins
name was Mary.
The Annunciation The Angel Gabriel Appears to
Mary by John Scott
Ponder on Marys example of obedience and faith.
How can we make Marys example part of our lives?
And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary for
thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and
bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of
the Highest and the Lord God shall give unto him
the throne of his father David
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for
ever and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail,
thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with
thee blessed art thou among women
Consider her reaction - She did not question,
hesitate, argue or doubt. What would you have
done?
She simply replied Behold the handmaid of the
Lord be it unto me according to thy word.
5Mary, the mother of Jesus.
Can you imagine not only the love, but also the
overwhelming responsibility she must have felt as
she held her precious baby in her arms?
As you listen to this lullaby, think about this
faithful woman of God ... Mary.

6The scriptures testify to the power of the
Masters touch.
Luke 843-48.
We read in the scriptures how our Savior healed
the sick, raised the dead, bore our sorrows and
fed the multitude.
The scriptures testify to the power of His touch.
And a woman having an issue of blood twelve
years, which had spent all her living upon
physicians, neither could be healed of any,
And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me for I
perceive that virtue is gone out of me.
Come to Him through the scriptures there you
will find Him.
Do we have the faith this woman had?
And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she
came trembling, and falling down before him, she
declared unto him before all the people for what
cause she had touched him, and how she was healed
immediately.
We need only believe and ask for His help.
Came behind him, and touched the border of his
garment and immediately her issue of blood
stanched.
There you will know Him.
Mortal trials can weaken our faith and bring
turmoil to our spirit. Our Saviors touch can
reach us too.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied,
Peter and they that were with him said, Master,
the multitude throng thee and press thee, and
sayest thou, Who touched me?
And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good
comfort thy faith hath made thee whole go in
peace.

7Our Savior
Jesus the Christ by Del Parson
Come, follow Him.
8The scriptures testify of our Saviors mission
and the task that only He could perform.
Luke 2241-44.
And he was withdrawn from them about a stones
cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, Saying,
Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from
me nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
And there appeared an angel unto him from
heaven, strengthening him. And being in an
agony he prayed more earnestly and his sweat was
as it were great drops of blood falling down to
the ground.
Can you imagine how much He must have loved you,
and still loves you to have suffered so much pain
for you?
Christ suffered not only for our sins. He
suffered every sorrow, pain and illness we would
endure.
May we never forget His sacrifice, His love and
His example.
Can you remember a time of illness?
Can you imagine His torment? His pain?
Can you remember a time when you thought your
heart would break?
And it is how we can know Him perfectly too.
That is why He knows each of us - perfectly.
