The Location

• Baddow Hall Junior School is in Great
• Baddow, down New Road. Next to the
• School there is a car park. Where teachers
• and some pupils parents park.

The History

• Before there was Baddow Hall, the piece of
• land was a chicken farm. In 1968 they had
• changed the land to what it is today. Now we
• have got new toilets, a new hut and a
• vegetable garden.

Behaviour

• At the school we have a behaviour sheet
• when the teacher can write down on the
• sheet if they have been naughty. At the end
• of the week the office type the names on
• the computer system. This means they can
• keep a record of whos been naughty and
• not.

Teachers

• At the school we have a wide range of
• teachers from men to women. All the
• teachers are quite strict but kind at the
• same time. They teach all the children at the
• right level for their SATs in year 6.

Pupils

• Pupils in year 6 have a wide range of
• responsibilities. Some pupils are monitors
• for getting the games out for lunch time.
• Pupils are the grown ups of the school and
• show the younger members of the school
• how to line up at the end of break and
• lunch.

Pupil Council

• The pupil council play an important role in
• the school. They vary from years 3-6. There
• are two from each class, one boy and one
• girl. The year 6s are the leaders of the
• council. There are four places for the year
• 6 members Chairman, Vice Chairman,
• Sectary and Treasurer.

The School Building

• In the building we have eight classrooms, all
• with interactive SMART Boards and white
• boards. We have an ICT suite where we
• have new computers, group learning room
• (where one year group can play in for
• Lunchtime) and a hall where we have assemblies
  and eat our lunch. We also have new toilets for
  the children.

The Hut

• On the field we have a brand new hut. Inside
• the hut we have toilets, changing rooms, a
• small kitchen and a small playroom with a
• garden patch just outside. Next to the hut,
• there is a wooden shed. Inside, we store a
• few tools and various other equipment.

The Playground

• We have two playgrounds. One is for
• football and netball. The other playground is
• for skipping, space hoppers, chess,
• hopscotch and snakes and ladders. We also
• have an adventure playground. You are allowed on
  it if you are first into dinners.

Subjects

• At school, we have a range of subjects.
• they range from French-Maths. Each class has
  French once a week. As Maths you have it every
  morning, as well as literacy. All of the other
  subjects you also do once a week.

Uniform

• For school uniform you have to wear a
• White t-shirt, a blue jumper, a black/grey
• Skirt/trousers. For the summer girls can
• Wear the blue and white checked dress. The boys
  can wear black/grey shorts. For
• School shoes you can wear anything.

Clubs

• We do a range of clubs after, before or in
  school. Including Recorders, Choir, Warhammer,
  CC4G, Netball, Football, Gardening Club and many

The House System

• The House System is about where different
• people are in different houses. There are
• four houses they are called Baddow Lodge, Baddow
  Place, Baddow Court and Baddow House. When pupils
  come up from the infants or are new to the school
  they will be put into different houses. Every
  Friday the two house captains count up the house
  points and jot in down into there house book. The
  next Monday Mr Niven will write the scores down
  on the score board in assembly. Then at the
  leavers assembly Mr Niven will announce who has
  won for the whole year.
