  • Court Management Information Systems (CMIS) works
    from Judicial Administrators Office works with
    court and vendor to submit electronic data.
  • Vendor develops extract file for Court using LASC
    and OMV guidelines
  • Test file submitted to CMIS
  • CMIS approves file and letter sent to Court to
    discontinue forwarding blue tickets to OMV

  • CMIS reviews transmitted data and error checks
    files
  • Error reports sent to Courts for update. CMIS
    does not update files from courts
  • Files placed on CMIS server for OMV retrieval

    Court centrally hosted city court case management
    system.
  • Winner was CyberBest Technologies out of Orlando
    FL
  • Will be signing contract to get project underway
    shortly

    implement in 4 city courts

    reporting traffic dispositions
  • No cost for court to participate in LCC project !
  • CMIS has applied for additional grant funding to
    bring more courts into the LCC project

  • LCC will integrate with other statewide data
    systems, i.e. CRIMES from LDAA, law enforcement
    agencies, etc.

  • Provided funding for pilot phase of Louisiana
    Court Connection and (hopefully) funding for next
    phase of project. Why ???
  • Under 49 CFR 384.209
  • Time period for notification of traffic
    violations
  • (1) Beginning on September 30, 2005, the
    notification must be made within 30 days of the
    conviction
  • (2) beginning on September 30, 2008, the
    notification must be made within 10 days of the
    conviction
  • Risk losing highway grant funding for
    non-compliance
