• It is situated in the North-East off Ireland
• 20 miles Northwards off Belfast
• Is in close proximately to the Irish sea

• Its purpose is for export/import goods
• There is 9 main Estates in Larne
• Its situated near various quarries
• It has a river which flows through the town named
  the Inver river.

History Of Larne

• The name Larne comes from Irish Láthárna
  which means domain of a Irish Viking.
• In 1914, Loyalists opposed to the Home Rule Act
  1914 prepared for armed resistance. In an episode
  known as the Larne Gun Running, German weapons
  and ammunition were transported into the port of
  Larne at dead of night, and distributed all over
  the country.
