- An alternative to English 11
- A course focused on writing and interpretation
- A class that welcomes different opinions and
views (your ideas are never wrongif you can

a higher level
3Goals Objectives of APLANG
- Help students become skilled readers of a variety
of written works - Provide students with opportunities to
demonstrate an awareness of audience and purpose - Enable students to write effectively and
confidently in college and personal life - Prepare students for the AP exam
4- Primarily juniors, but it is open to seniors
- Students who want to challenge themselves with a
rigorous course curriculum - Students looking to improve their persuasion and
writing skills - Students who want to expose themselves to
different views and opinions

- Very good college preparatory course
- Not a lot of long-term reading
- No (well-supported) answer is ever wrong

- AP Lang is definitely a step up from English 10
but Mrs. Simmons has become one of my favorite
teachers she made the transition a smooth one. I
look forward to the class because I know its a
