Sin, Self and Salvation
2
Creation of Man (Tripartite)
Genesis 27
3
The Fall of Man
  • Death the cessation of communication with
    environment.
  • Death of the spirit is the cessation of
    communication to God.
  • Man may even talk about God, reason about God and
preach God, but he is still dead to Him. Man is
not able to hear or to sense the voice of Gods
    Spirit.

4
Death through sin
  • Romans 5.12 Therefore, just as through one man
sin entered the world, and death through sin, and
thus death spread to all men, because all sinned.
  • Psalm 51.5 Behold, I was brought forth in
iniquity. And in sin my mother conceived me.
  • Isaiah 48.8 Surely you did not hear, surely you
did not know surely from long ago your ear was
not opened. For I knew that you would deal very
treacherously, and were called a transgressor
    from the womb

  • For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of
God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
    Romans 623
  • The man who sins must die. This is announced in
the Bible. No animal nor angel can suffer the
penalty of sin in mans stead. It is mans triune
nature which sins, therefore it is man who must
die. Only humanity can atone for humanity. But
because sin is in his humanity, mans own death
cannot atone for his sin. The Lord Jesus came and
took human nature upon himself in order that He
might be judged instead of humanity.
  • The thief comes only to steal and kill and
destroy I have come that they may have life, and
have it to the full. John 1010

Parable of the Lost Sheep
  • The good shepherd goes outside of his house
(world) to seek the sheep. And so does the Lord
Jesus, who left His Fathers house (heaven) and
came to the world to seek each one of us. And
when he hath found it, he layeth it on his
shoulders the Good Shepherd lays down His life
for the sheep for redemption, shed His blood for
the remission of sins. The Savior has borne our
sins and therefore the Father is now waiting to
    receive us.

Parable of the Lost Coin
  • This parable speaks of the work of the Holy
Spirit as the woman inside the house (the man)
looking for the lost coin. The woman lights a
candle the Holy Spirit enlightens us within
with the spirit of wisdom and revelation. And
sweep the house it is the Holy Spirit that
convicts us with our sin. And seek diligently
it is the Holy Spirit that convinces us to do
    righteousness.

Parable of the Lost son
  • This parable speaks of the glorification by
God the Father as the father who brought forth
the best robe, put a ring on his sons hand and
shoes on his feet. This expresses the riches of
God, for salvation speaks of exceeding riches of
God. Let us eat, and make merry speaks of the
joy of God. And fell on his neck, and kissed
him by the fathers kissing him, the son had
been forgiven. For this thy brother was dead,
and is alive again and was lost, and is found
    this is resurrection.
