1One Mission Vision
2Why Ablaze!?
Gods Desire
I urge, then, first of all, that requests,
prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made
for everyonefor kings and all those in
authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet
lives in all godliness and holiness. This is
good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all
men to besaved and to come to a knowledge of the
truth. (1 Tim. 21-4) (2004 Res. 1-01 A)
3Why Ablaze!?
Urgency
Everyday more than 155,000 people die worldwide.
4Urgency
The people of the world are in desperate need of
the Gospel. (2004 Res. 1-04)
Statistics taken from www.adherents.com
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is
no other name under heaven given to men by which
we must be saved." (Acts 412)
5On the International level
Hostility towards Christianity is
growing.
The time to act is now.
6On the National level
- Many in the United States are also unreached.
-
-
-
- God is bringing many without faith to our
shores.
The time is ripe to plant new ministries and
revitalize old ones.
7What is Ablaze!?
A Worldwide Movement
Ablaze! is a worldwide movement among
confessional Lutherans to reach 100 million
unreached and/or uncommitted people with the
Gospel by 2017, the 500th anniversary of the
Reformation.
8An Outreach Effort
Ablaze! is a 21st century outreach effort
consistent with Lutheran theology and practice,
and an example of the mission emphasis that has
characterized The Lutheran ChurchMissouri Synod
from the beginning.
9What Ablaze! is not
- It is NOT Counting conversions thats the Holy
Spirits work. - It IS a movement motivated by the Gospel
to share our faith and hope. - It means being willing to be accountable.
- It is NOT a fund drive.
- It does not cost us anything to share the
Gospel one on one. - Fan Into Flame will help us advance Ablaze!

show forth the praises of Him who has called them
out of darkness into His marvelous light.
