9CATEGORY 1 - 100
When Mendel crossed purebred short plants with
purebred tall plants, all of the offspring were
______.
10CATEGORY 1 - 200
A hybrid is the offspring of parents with ______
alleles for a trait.
11CATEGORY 1 - 300
A pea plant that is heterozygous for height has
this as its alleles.
12CATEGORY 1 - 400
This scientist is considered the father of modern
genetics?
13CATEGORY 1 - 500
A homozygous recessive trait is represented by
14CATEGORY 2 - 100
The sequence of these forms the genetic code.
15CATEGORY 2 - 200
This kind of RNA carries coded messages from the
nucleus into the cytoplasm.
16CATEGORY 2 - 300
Groups of 3 nitrogen bases code for tRNA to bring
these.
17CATEGORY 2 - 400
DNA is found in these parts of a cell.
18CATEGORY 2 - 500
This is the full name of DNA.
19CATEGORY 3 - 100
This is the probability that a quarter will land
heads up?
20CATEGORY 3 - 200
Mendel found that the probability of pea plants
in the F1 generation being short was this.
21CATEGORY 3 - 300
Mendel found that the probability of the pea
plants from the F2 generation being short was
this.
22CATEGORY 3 - 400
Independence of events means that one event is
independent of these.
23CATEGORY 3 - 500
If you roll one dice the probability of rolling a
3 is this.
24CATEGORY 4 - 100
Meiosis is the process by which the number of
chromosomes is reduced by this.
25CATEGORY 4 - 200
The resulting sex cells have this many
chromosomes.
26CATEGORY 4 - 300
Grasshopper body cells have this many chromosomes.
27CATEGORY 4 - 400
Grasshopper sex cells have this many chromosomes.
28CATEGORY 4 - 500
This American geneticist studied the chromosomes
of grasshoppers body and sex cells.
29CATEGORY 5 - 100
Mutation occurs when the DNA is changed in one of
this many ways.
30CATEGORY 5 - 200
One base pair replaced with another is called
this.
31CATEGORY 5 - 300
One base pair removed from a DNA strand is called
this.
32CATEGORY 5 - 400
One base pair added to the DNA strand is called
this.
33CATEGORY 5 - 500
A mutation in a DNA strand can only be passed on
to offspring if is in this type of cell.

68JEOPARDY! Slide Show Notes
- The font for the question answer slides is
Enchanted a copy of this font in located in
the REAL Jeopardy Template folder. (This font
will need to be installed in the C/WINDOWS/FONTS
folder of the computer running the show.) In
order to keep all of the sounds and fonts
together, copy the entire REAL Jeopardy
Template folder. - To change the categories
- 1. Go to Edit and Replace
- 2. In the Find box, type CATEGORY 1 (all caps)
- 3. In the Replace box, type the category in all
caps (for example, PRESIDENTS) - 4. Click Replace All...
- To use the Daily Double
- 1. Choose which dollar values to set as Daily
Double - 2. Link that dollar value to one of the DD slides
- 3. Link the arrow on the DD slide to the correct
question slide (so dollar/category match)
69Running the JEOPARDY! Slide Show
- On the game board with the categories on top,
click on the desired dollar value. (The first
game board is used only to blink in the dollar
values like the show.) - ICONS
- ? Go to the answer screen.
- House Go back to the game board.
- Right Arrow (on Daily Doubles) Go to the
question screen. - Turned-up Arrow Reload question screen after
incorrect guess
