• The trigonometric functions (sin, cos, tan, etc.)
  are just ratios of two sides of a right triangle
• They are used to solve triangles (i.e. to find
  unknown angles and sides)

• Make a creative representation (e.g. a small
  poster) of Figure 1 on p. 46 as well as the
  information in the blue box on that page. 
• Be neat and incorporate color.
• It has to be bigger than one 8 ½ x 11 piece of
  paper. If you want a sheet of easel paper, just
  ask and I will get you some.
• Test Tuesday (App. A-C, 1.1, 1.2, 2.1)
