Protocol for TV Viewers
  • Complete an information form.
  • Complete CIF (canary yellow only) including date
of birth. If they just want a quit kit or
information only, do not complete a CIF.
  • In order to enroll in the US Script voucher
program, the client must come to the MCTUPP
offices with an Arizona identification card.
  • Explain voucher process and that the client will
receive a page of instructions for using the
voucher along with TV cessation instruction for
    viewing programs.
  • Clients need to watch the show every week to get
    vouchers, or talk w/ McTUPP
  • Each week caller must answer three out of the
    five questions correctly.
  • If two or more questions are answered
incorrectly, instruct the caller to watch another
airing of that weeks episode and call back. If
no other episodes are available to view that
week, the caller must receive intensive
counseling from McTUPP covering the episode
    topics.
  • (A show outline and copy of each episode will be
    given to all locations.)
  • Viewers are not eligible for NRT vouchers if they
start viewing after the first two episodes.
Instruct them to attend a class or refer to
    MCTUPP.
  • If a counselor is unavailable, instruct the
client that a counselor will return the call.
