  • The following suspects have a common link

Suspect 1
  • This suspect is an Emmy-award winning host of one
    of the most successful talk shows in history.
  • She was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi to
    unmarried parents who separated soon after she
    was born
  • For awhile she lived with her mother until she
    became too much of a handful. Once, she even
    faked a robbery in her house because she wanted
    newer, more stylish glasses!
  • At age 14, she was sent to live with her father,
    who was very stern with her and required her to
    complete book reports and learn new vocabulary.

  • She joined her schools drama club and became
    very successful.
  • In 1971 she was named Miss Black Tennessee.
  • In 1976 she graduated with a degree in speech
    communications from Tennessee State University.
  • She pursued a degree in broadcasting and seemed
    to have the golden touch!
  • In 1985 she was offered her own talk show, which
    immediately rose in the ratings
  • Her daytime talk show has outperformed any other
    talk show in television history.
  • In 1993 she was given the Horatio Alger award for
    people who overcome adversity and are leaders in
    their field.
  • One of the highest paid entertainers in the
    business, she is also a committed philanthropist,
    having given away millions to worthy causes.

Suspect 2
  • This suspect was born in Hope, Arkansas three
    months after his father was killed in an
    automobile accident.
  • His mother moved the family to New Orleans,
    Louisiana to study nursing as a way to support
    her son
  • Here he was surrounded by relatives who supported
    him and taught him that all men are created
    equal.
  • In 1960, JFK was elected president. As a young
    man selected to go to the White House , this man
    was one of the first in line to shake President
    Kennedys hand. He knew that one day he wanted
    to become president and make a difference in the
    lives of others.

  • This suspect also had the opportunity to listen
    to Martin Luther King Jr.s famous I Have a
    Dream speech.
  • This person thrived on the idea that hard work
    would bring success. He became active in his
    church, raised money for charity, and learned the
    value of being a good citizen.
  • He practiced at playing the saxophone, and using
    scholarship money and loans from the government,
    he was able to go to college at Georgetown
    University.
  • After studying government as a Rhodes Scholar at
    Oxford University, he returned to the U.S. to
    attend law school at Yale University.
  • After that, he concentrated on a political
    career, being elected one of the youngest
    governors in the nation at age 32.

  • This suspect was elected president in 1992,
    promoting his belief in putting the people first,
    preserving the American Dream, and restoring
    opportunities for middle class people.
  • As a retired president, he has begun a charitable
    organization which relies on donations from
    businesses to fund a wide variety of charitable
    contributions.
