  • Submit Confirmation of Employment (COE) to the
    EPSB
  • Sign the Record of Teacher Internship Year (RTIY)
    and submit to the EPSB
  • Review and submit the Resource Teacher Time Sheet
    (RTT) to the EPSB

Principal Responsibilities for Electronic
Reporting
  • Enter information into the Record of Teacher
    Internship Year (RTIY)
  • Sign all Cycle Reports on the RTIY
  • Submit RTIY to the KTIP Coordinator or EPSB
  • Review, approve, and submit Resource Teacher Time
    Sheet (RTT) to the KTIP Coordinator or EPSB

PROCESS FOR ENTERING CONFIRMATIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Once COE has been submitted to EPSB for approval,
any changes/edits will need to be submitted via
email to Teresa or Sharon.

Login to EPSB Website at www.kyepsb.net If you
know your username and password type your
username and password in the Login Box. If you
need a login click on Need a login? Click
here If you have forgotten your password, click
on Forgot your password? Click here

Click on Intern Management System (IMS) to
process Internship forms and reports.

PROCESS FOR ENTERING RESOURCE TEACHER TIME SHEETS

  • Resource Teacher is responsible for entering data
    into the time sheet.
  • Click on Click Here to Create Time Sheet

  • Verify Interns Information.
  • Select Time Sheet Period from drop down list
    (Fall for Fall Semester Spring for Spring
    Semester, or Full Year to receive one check at
    the end of the internship year for Full Year
    Interns only)
  • Click Verify and Exit to continue at a later time
    or Verify and Go On to next step

  • Enter date of activity
  • Select number of hours by using the drop down
    list
  • Select Location (In-Class or Out-of-Class) from
    drop down list
  • Select appropriate Standard(s)
  • Type in description of activity - specifically
    describe what you did and how it relates to
    student learning teacher professional growth
  • Click Add Activity

  • In-Class Observations
  • RT observes Intern
  • Intern observes other teachers (no more than 2-3
    hours)
  • Collaborative Planning within school hours

  • Review with intern the 9 New Teacher Standards.
  • Review with intern the interns PGP share
    strategies for addressing areas for growth.

Approvable Out-of-Class Mentoring Activities
Examples
  • Discuss ways to add technology to incorporate
    stronger content into lesson plans.
  • Discuss collaboration with other
    teachers/administrators how the intern is
    doing.

Approvable Out-of-Class Mentoring Activities
Examples
  • Discuss parent/teacher conferences "role play"
    possible conference.
  • Discuss discipline problems. Share strategies
    techniques on discipline classroom management
    such as re-arranging desks setting rules.

  • Discuss school policy procedures state
    guidelines for referring students to special
    education and completing IEPs.
  • Collaborated to create a variety of assessments
    for lessons.

Unapprovable Out-of-Class Mentoring Activities
  • Attending Faculty Meetings
  • Attending ballgames, dances, plays, parades, etc.
  • KTIP Committee Meetings
  • Attending professional development
    activities/conferences
  • Shopping at Wal-mart or other stores
  • Working bus duty or hall duty
  • Working concession stands for after school events

PROCESS FOR RETURNING TIME SHEETS WITH
QUESTIONABLE ACTIVITIES

  • Resource Teacher, Principal, and KTIP Coordinator
    will receive an email from EPSB stating the time
    sheet needs modification.
  • Resource Teacher will need to click on Time
    Sheet has been sent back by EPSB for
    modification to see which activity/activities
    are questionable.

  • Once Resource Teacher clicks Time Sheet has been
    sent back by EPSB for modification, he/she will
    need to verify internship information.
  • If information is incorrect, contact KTIP
    Coordinator, who will need to contact Teresa or
    Sharon.
  • If information is correct, select Verify and
    Exit to continue at a later time or Verify and
    Go On to go to next step.

  • EPSB modifications/comments will be in red.
  • To Edit Activities, click Edit Activities.
  • To Accept EPSB Modifications and Submit to EPSB
    for processing, click Accept All Adjustments.

  • Once resource teacher clicks Edit Activity from
    previous screen, he/she will need to
  • edit the activity by making edits where needed
    or
  • Delete Activity.
  • When Resource Teacher makes edits or deletes an
    activity he/she needs to click on Save and
    Continue.
  • If the Resource Teacher edits or deletes everyone
    will be required to sign-off on the time sheet
    again.
