How do we fit into the structure?
  • Women Ministry is a valuable and an important
element of the Hispanic Ministries. We have
demonstrated that even with the challenges of our
limited financial resources we have made an
impactful difference within our mission of
serving, and preparing the body at large.
  • We currently have more than 45 ministers and many
more serving as lay leaders within their
    churches, regions and national positions.

Many Women Serving
  • Rev. Ruth Chavez Wallace Vice- President of
    Pension Fund
  • Pastor Ketty Santos, Director of Bernabé Program
    (New Churches) Church Extension
  • Rev. Dr. Daisy Machado Dean History Professor
in Lexington Theological Seminary, Lexington KY

10
and Many More
  • Hilda Marie González- Robles Administrative
Assistant of Central Pastoral Office for Hispanic
    Ministries, Indianapolis IN
  • Rev. Elizabeth Carrasquillo Student Services
Associate and Recruiter in Christian Theological
    Seminary, Indianapolis IN
  • Evangelina Perez- Member of General Board
  • Currently we have 10 women in the Seminary
    waiting to be ordained.

11
What are we doing?
  • We have developed activities to help different
social programs. During our last National
Hispanic and Bilingual Assembly we collected
clothes and a financial offering to the Southwest
Good Samaritan Ministries (Orphan Program). We
    are committed with this ministry.
  • We organized in the Northeast region a Well Women
    Health fare.

12
What are we doing?(Cont.)
  • Within our retreats we provide an attractive
program that fits the needs and brings relevance
to the present issues at hand.
  • Example In the last two years of the Southeast
Region we had approximately 400 women attending
most of the women were under the age of 45. This
year we are expecting from 800-1000 women.
  • Theme Women Impacting Our World

13
What are we doing?
  • We started a program called Regional Leadership
Retreat. We wanted to be able to create an
activity where in addition to being ministered by
the word of God, we could also equip the women
to continue with the vision that God had given
them. We want to develop more ministries. We
feel that we are in the process of labor.
  • Recently the area of Mid-West joined our
ministry. They are still in the process of
organizing but they have done a great job with
many activities and many more in progress such as
a Spa Day for Leaders and fundraising to
    accomplish their vision.

Not the same!
  • Fact The Latino population is growing in an
enormous number through the nation. In studies
made by New Church Extension the numbers show
that Hispanic population will be more of a
quarter (1/4) of the population in the United
States by the year of 2050.

In Progress
  • Hispanic Women Permanent Fund
  • Website
  • Leadership Trainings
  • Integration of more Young Women
  • Re-enforcement and Organization in Regions
  • Pilot Program for Hispanic Children Ministry
  • Looking for Financial alternatives to expand and
    create more programs.

17
We Believe
  • God has placed a challenge before us and there
is much terrain to obtain and so we walk by
    faith.
  • Therefore we fear no giants, because WE walk
    every day with the GIANT.
  • God has Called, Gifted and Sent Us
