Food

• Pandas eat bamboo.
• Bamboo is a very hard plant that is found in
  China.Bamboo is so hard you would have trouble
  breaking it with an ax. When pandas are raised in
  zoos they eat apples, carrots, rice,porridge, and
  grass as well as bamboo.

Habitat

• Pandas live in bamboo forests on mountain slopes
  in western and southwestern China.

Young Pandas

• A young panda is the size of a new born kitten
  when it is born. A young panda is called a cub
  the male and female are just called pandas.

Teeth

• Pandas teeth are so strong they can break the
  strong covering of bamboo and eat the pith
  inside.They can break it very easily with their
  strong teeth.

The Giant pandas thumb

• A panda has a special thumb.The pandas thumb
  is not really a thumb at all.It is a pad to help
  it grab bamboo.The panda also has a real thumb
  witch it uses as a finger.

• Pandas enemies are Chinese Leopards and wild
  dogs.
