4What are our opening hours?
- Libraries and Computer Drop-In areas across 3
centres - Booth Lane and Lower Mounts
- 8.45am 9.00pm (Monday - Thursday)
- 8.45am 4.00pm (Friday)
- 9.30am 1.30pm (Saturday)
- Daventry
- 8.45am 8.00pm (Monday Wednesday)
- 8.45am 5.00pm (Thursday)
- 8.45am 4.00pm (Friday)
- Outside of Term Time Monday - Friday 10.00am
4.00pm - You are welcome to use all 3 centres and their
facilities
5Why should you come to the LRC?
- ResourcesTextbooks, DVDs, newspapers,
magazines, television DVD player, Smartboards - Online resources (e-books databases)
accessible from home or College - 160 networked computers 23 laptops with
internet access - A variety of study areas to suit your needs
- Services including photocopiers, binding,
laminating and stationery for sale - Learning Facilitators and Librarians who are
here to help you with your studies - You are welcome to use LRC facilities FREE of
charge
6What can you borrow?
- You can borrow up to 4 items at a time which
can include books, videos and DVDs. In addition,
you can also borrow 2 back issues of magazines.
- Our loan periods are 3 week and 1 week. Some
items are reference only - You will need your College ID card to borrow
resources and use computers
7What happens if you forget to bring your books
back?
- DONT PANIC!
- You can renew items twice either by
- Coming to the Library Issue Desk
- E-mail
- Telephone
- unless your items are overdue or reserved by
somebody else - Overdue items
- We will send out reminder letters when your
items become overdue - Fines are 5p per day per item
- You will be charged the full replacement cost
for any items lost or damaged - Invoiced items NO access to College computer
account
8What if you cant find the books you want?
- Check with LRC staff
- We can reserve items which are out on loan
- We can transfer items from other centres to
ensure they are - at the nearest centre for you to collect

9You really need peace and quiet to work
- The Library at Booth Lane has a silent study
room where you can study or use a laptop without
being disturbed
10What if you want to work in a group?
- There are 2 rooms at Booth Lane
- One with computers (Drop-in no need to book)
- One without computers (Library you will need to
hand your ID card in at the Library Desk)
11We thank you for
- keeping your music down low on your personal
stereo - turning your phone off or to silent and taking
your call outside - keeping noise levels down and showing
consideration to others - keeping the LRC clean and tidy by clearing up
your rubbish and using the recycling bins
provided for paper, cans and plastic bottles - not eating in the LRC, you may have bottled
drinks with sports caps

12Can you use computers in the LRC?
- YES, no booking is required, just pop in any
time - You will need to scan your current College ID
card at the Drop-in desk - We also have laptops for loan to use within the
LRC - You may bring your own laptops in but you cannot
plug into our mains sockets
Printing
- All computers are connected to printers
- You have 1000 FREE print credits per year
- Colour printing is available from the Print Room
from 15p a copy - Scanners and MACs
13Who can you ask for help?
- Anyone all LRC staff are here to support you
- Some have additional IT skills
- Learning Facilitators can help you with
research, essay writing and IT - If you would like some careers advice you can
drop into Learner Support anytime
14Can you access resources from outside College?
Yes, our website is accessible 24/7
