• Students behind in computer skills. Just as
  important as reading writing arithmetic.
• Closes future employment opportunities.

• Teachers often do not know how to use the
  technologies.
• Lack of funds for technological professional
  development
• Only 18 states require educational technology for
  certification
• Lack of understanding of technology
• Limits use of innovative teaching tools

Curriculum

• Technology is an after thought in traditional
  curriculums
• Lack of media literacy
• Teachers and students both have limited views of
  the computer Internet
• Public policy must encourage integration of
  technology.
