REPSSI STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

• To develop knowledge in the application of
  psychosocial care and support (SO1)
• To facilitate skill and information exchange on
  psychosocial care and support ( SO2)
• To strengthen the capacity of governments, civil
  society and other institutions to respond to
  psychosocial needs of children affected by HIV
  and AIDS, poverty and conflict (SO3)
• To strengthen the monitoring and evaluation
  system of REPSSI and partners (SO4)

• 2002 2005 working with all who were interested
  in PSS programme
• KOPs already had some PSS skills, although the
  issue of mainstreaming was not pronounced.
• SUPs partners generally willing to learn and
  implement various PSS intervention processes.

• 2007-2011 revision of the previous SIP based on
  context analysis
• National Network Organisations with a clear set
  criteria for this
• Reaches /- 30-50.000 children
• Covers about the whole country
• Congruency with REPSSI goals
• Has a democratic approach to its work
• Financially stable

ORIENTATION WITH GOVT DEPT

• courtesy calls to govt dept by REPSSI staff
  every time they visit a country
• Usually a day or day and a half.
• Each partner shares what they do in relation to
  PSS.
• Participants also go through the Tree of Life
• (a personal SWOT analysis as a way to prepare for
  the next session)
• SWOT analysis for the department or ministry.
• Planning issues (often the next half day).
