• Establishing a baseline for tracking the rate of
  river- bank changes since 1957 has prompted an
  increase in public awareness of remote sensing
  technology as it relates to watershed management
• Stakeholder involvement and interest has
  significantly increased in the Homochitto River
  and its management
• Forum for regional collaboration has been
  developed
• Infrastructure damages have been quantified and
  have aided local officials in assessing the
  economic impact of flooding in site specific areas
