DPPT Objectives

• Strengthen the capacity of OCHA staff
• to guide disaster preparedness planning processes
  with Governments, humanitarian country teams, and
  at the regional and international level
• to translate into practice OCHAs strategic
  objective 1.4 Greater incorporation of risk
  reduction approaches and strengthened
  preparedness in humanitarian response
• To promote a culture of preparedness in a
  coherent and systematic manner
