1Site Preferences Add a New Element
Create a descriptive Name for the Element.
Announcements
- Elements pull information from a Site Module for
display on a Web page. - The displayed information in an Element doesnt
need to be manually updated as its content
updates from the information in the Module
serving as its Data Source. - Elements are added to a Web page through the
Editor Toolbar. - There is no limit to the number of times an
Element may be used. - There is no limit to the number of unique
Elements that may be created for use in a Site.
2Setting the Data Source
An Element may only draw information from a
single Site Module
An Element may pull information from all
Categories in the Site Module Instance
OR
Element may pull information from a single
Category in an Site Module Instance
Select the Module that will serve as the Data
Source providing information to the Element from
the drop-down menu

- The Site Module providing the information to the
Element is the Data Source. - An Element may only have one Data Source.
- An Element may pull information from all
Categories in the Site Module Instance or, - The Element may pull information from a single
Category in an Site Module Instance.
3New Element - Options
- Once an Element has been created, the general
parameters for the information displayed in the
Element may be specified. - The Element may display all information contained
in all Categories of the Site Module or, - The Element may display information from a
single, specific Category within a Site Module
Instance.
4Edit an Element
- If an Element or Elements have already been
created, the Element may be opened for editing by
selecting it from the drop-down list. - Setting options for a new Element or editing the
preferences for an existing Element follow
similar procedures and use similar screens. - An Element may be Deleted when opened for editing.
5Element Options
- Once an Element has been created, the general
parameters for the information displayed in the
Element may be specified. - The Element may display all information contained
in all Categories of the Site Module or, - The Element may display information from a
single, specific Category within a Site Module
Instance.
6Stylization Options Color Style Palettes
- Colors and font style options will not be
available for Sites using a Color Palette, Style
Palette or Custom Layout. - Color and font style change requests for Sites
using pre-defined custom styles must be submitted
to support_at_alarius.net.
7Stylization Options
- Colors and font style options will be available
for Sites that do not use a Color Palette, Style
Palette or Custom Layout. - The appearance of fonts, table cells and other
color and style options are available for Element
areas. - The Stylization Options determined in this
section will only affect the appearance of the
Element being edited. - Modifications made in this area will not affect
any other area of a Site or other Elements.
8Stylization Options Text Areas
- Select an Element area to edit the appearance of
the colors and styles of the area. - If an area does not appear in the drop-down menu,
the areas fonts and colors may not be edited. - Highlight an area in the drop-down list and click
Edit Style to manage the appearance of the area.

- New property styles may be added to an area by
selecting the desired style property from the
drop-down list.
11Delete an Element
- A Delete button is available on all screens when
an Element is opened for editing. - Deleted Elements cannot be recovered.
- Deleted Elements must be rebuilt and re-inserted
into Site pages. - When Delete is clicked, a deletion confirmation
dialogue box will pop-up verifying the action
prior to permanently deleting the Element.
