• Kick-off Assembly

Sue Forbes and George Szypula, both Olympic Torch
Bearers Came to our kick-off assembly. They led
a procession down to the gym.

When the whole school was assembled in the gym,
we said the Pledge of Allegiance and sang the
Star Spangled Banner.

Sue Forbes talked to the children about working
hard to achieve goals. She urged all of the
students to strive to be world class people.
She read the book Amazing Grace to the students.

George Syzpula talked to the students about
FOCUS and the importance of working hard to
achieve your goals and to never give up.

The assembly closed with the singing of the
Glencairn School song.
